{CLOSED} Win a R500 Rain Africa Gift Voucher

I’m going to be MIA for the next couple of days and I don’t have blog posts prepared, but fortunately I have a little something-something here for you.

Rain Africa Savannah Body Butter, Foam Bath & Burner oil
Rain Africa Savannah Body Butter, Foam Bath & Burner oil. I haven’t gotten to body butter yet, but the foam bath is soft and creamy and the burner oil smells AMAZING.

I’ve been using these products from Rain Africa’s Savannah range, and I’m absolutely in love. It smells clean, fresh, and is described by Rain as a citrusy, woody, floral & mossy scent. While it’s a little difficult to pinpoint exactly what it smells like to me, it’s definitely in the ‘fresh’ category. It stands somewhere between a freshly bathed person and clean linen smell. I’m absolutely obsessed with the burner oil – within minutes the entire room smells like someone has taken a fragrant bubble bath in it and then hung clothes drenched in Sta-Soft out to dry.

Enough about the weird way I describe scents and more about you. You can win a R500 Rain Africa hamper to choose some bath goodies for yourself. All you have to do is to leave a comment below sharing with us what your favourite smell/scent is – whether weird or wonderful (I really like all things minty, citrus fruits, that smell just before it rains, ironed laundry, fried/burnt butter and bacon).

Competition is valid until 8PM on Monday, 31 March 2014 to South African residents. One entry per person. Prizes not claimed within 3 working days will be redistributed.  The winner of the competition is Pips, congratulations!

While you’re here, clickety click to read more about Rain’s ethos – they’re a beautiful brand.

I loved the smell in the air when I arrived in Koh Phuket, Thailand; the air smelled of Jasmine rice! I also love the smell of flowers in the evening just as it’s beginning to cool down and the flowers are releasing their scents to attract night time pollinators like moths; the smell is intoxicating, alluring, and enchanting. I also love the smell of freshly baked goods, and vanilla. Thanks for the giveaway!

I love the smell of anything with citrus/orange undertones. That explains my love for orange tea and people find that weird. I love clean smells like baby powder and clean washed linen.

The one that I’m loving most right now is one that you mentioned… fried butter. It reminds me of my family in Holland. I miss them so terribly 🙁 Every time they visit, they do all the cooking (I don’t lift a finger) and Frans fries everything in butter. The smell makes me happy and sad at the same time.

I love the smell of mulled wine or gluhwein on a freezing cold winters night, add a fire burning in the fireplace and some good conversation. I always feel instantly calm and happy with all the spicy, cinnamon smells swirling around the house.

Oooh, I do love me some Rain! My favourite smell of all time? The smell of a newborn baby’s skin. I’m also a fan of the earthy smell in the air just before a Highveld thunder storm hits (I miss those!), salty sea air, the smell of self tan (yes, really! Am I the only one?), and freshly washed linen.
