So I slapped on some 1920’s makeup for a Mafia party

Pity I didn’t take better pics, cos I thought it turned out pretty cool – I’ll see if my photographer friend has any cool snaps of myself and the other girls’ makeup and hair. My hair is a non-event since my curling wand seems to have died and just refused to go on. I then refused to have straight hair (and I can’t do ghd curls) so I went with the coy side bun vibe of the era with a slight coiff.

The actual point of posting this picture is HOW CRAZY are those lashes? I’ve had them for months (since last year actually), but I’ve been sorely lacking an occasion to slap them on. They actually completely eliminated the need for the eyeshadow that I applied so painstakingly. They’re easy to work with (I trimmed them to fit the length of my lash line better), and sit tight once you have them in place without pulling the skin too tight. In fact, it’s the longest I’ve ever kept false lashes on for. But later on they left in a friend’s jacket pocket after he promised to stick them on his nipples the next day and send us all pictures. Needless to say it was a good party (still waiting for the hairy nipple pics though).

The brand is called Elise, and these are the Thick Long Lashes 100 in Seductive Black. Get them for R59 from Zando, here.
