Things in the blogging department have been slow for me the past couple of weeks and they’re about to slow down even more as I’m about to go on holiday. I have quite a few products that need testing though, here are some of them below:
Nip + Fab Dark Circle Fix and Sampar Glamour Shot Eyes. I never use eye products and I’ve now convinced myself that I’m going to have more time for grooming and faffing and so on. We’ll see how this goes, but I really do want to try both these products. Nip + Fab Dark Circle Fix is a product that delivers results with long term use (hopefully). If all else fails I can at least try Sampar Glamour Shot Eyes which is a quick fix product that delivers immediate results (again, hopefully).
Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm is going with for skin emergencies. It’s a thick barrier cream that protects very dry and cracked skin. My skin completely zonked out last year while on holiday (and for months afterwards), so if I see the first signs of skin roughness or a dry patch I’ll hopefully stop it in its tracks this time.
Garnier Hydra Match offers four different moisturisers with different consistencies for different skin types. I’ll be taking along Hydra Match for Dry/Very Dry skin (with Camelia oil) and Hydra match for Dull/Tired skin (with Citrus extract) to give both a bash.
DMK Fiberblast C, used with DMK Herb & Mineral Moisture spray. DMK Fiberblast C is a pure granular form of Vit C that weirdly melts on the skin on application and I’m very fascinated with it. DMK advises using it with the mist for added absorption. Very excited.
Maria Galland 190 Tinted Hydrating Cream to replace foundation on laid back days. I’ve quickly tested it on my hand and the formula looks and feels amazing so far.
Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect SPF30+ is a transparent SPF spray that looks perfect for whipping out of my handbag at an outdoor lunch or a beachside bar. I plan to frequent outdoor lunches and beach bars, so I think myself and this bottle will be good buddies this holiday.
Milk Solutions Rooibos & Honey Hand and Body Moisturiser. I could choose from a couple of ranges Milk Solutions has to offer, and I chose the ‘green’ variant. This one is enriched with Rooibos and Kigelia Africana extracts. It smells very fresh and feels light and silky, and it’s a nice big 250ml tub so it will last me through the whole holiday.
LUSH The Olive Branch Shower Gel. Fresh-smelling, citrusy, delicious shower gel. Doubt if I’ll be able to find something wrong with it.
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara. I’ve never tried this mascara from Lancome before, and I’ve just started testing this in the last couple of days. I can never tell whether it’s any good in the first two weeks or so, so I’ll give my verdict a little later.
Last on the makeup front is Estee Lauder Pure Color Powder Gelee in Heat Wave. I honestly don’t know how many occasions I’ll have to wear this very gold, very shimmer face powder but I’m going to try my very best to find a few because it looks irresistible.
Hopefully I won’t do any permanent damage by slapping all of these on during the course of a couple of weeks. Now wish me luck, by the time you read this I’ll already be making a dent in a 1400km trip to Vredendal.
