Beauty News #31 – Picodi, Delmé, + Pink Power Invisibobble

Ever wished there was a way you could keep track of all the local online offers out there? You know, deals on free delivery, discounts, special offers, that kind of thing? Yes? Well Picodi* is doing a pretty good job of collating info and keeping it all in one place.

Picodi is not about exclusive offers by any means, but I find this way more convenient than trying to keep track of the 20 different retailers I periodically shop from. Some things (free standard delivery from MAC and Superbalist) are more obvious than others (R200 off Zando if you sign up for their mailer, 40% off Columbia Sports Gear site wide – no catch, and R150 off storewide if you shop via the Superbalist app), so definitely bookmark it if you’re keen to save a buck. They mentioned that they’re going big for Black Friday, so I’m definitely going to keep an eye on their site.

A friend recently started distributing Delmé Avocado oil products and I’m impressed. When asked which ones I wanted to try I opted for the Conditioning Foam Bath and Conditioning Hand Wash (R75 each for a whopping 425ml) and I’m very happy with both.

The foam bath creates loads of bubbles without leaving me with dry and itchy skin, and the hand wash leaves my mitts feeling soft, smooth and smelling great. I’ve yet to try the Avocado butter which has the highest Avo oil content, but from the feedback I’ve seen from their customers it’s a winner.

Maggie delivers Delmé products countrywide, you can contact her via her Facebook page or on 072 106 7636.

As if you’ve ever needed any more motivation to have more Invisibobble hair bands in your life, they currently have a limited edition Pink Power bobble that represents the breast cancer awareness ribbon inside a clear ‘shell’. They’ve collaborated with Breast Cancer Now to aid them in continuing their work in breast cancer research.

Get them from hair salons as well as etailers like Retailbox, R80 for a pack of 3.
