There will be none of that new year, new me BS over here, but I am thrilled to have a fresh calendar year ahead of me. While I’m very much aware that nothing much changes except for the date, I see it as a great excuse to embrace changes and challenges with a bit of extra oomph.
Yes, I’m going back to the gym after a bit of an extended break. And I should probably stop living off crackers and cheese at some stage too. I’m pumped for my work year and everything it’s potentially going to hold. After forcing myself to sit down and actually do some planning, I’m now bursting with blog ideas after months of hanging onto inspiration by a very thin thread.
On a more personal level I finally found my solo feet in the last couple of months, and I’m no longer afraid to spend time on my own. This is a great relief since I really, really used to like my own company but I couldn’t bear the silence for a large chunk of last year.
So cut your hair, apply for the job, trade in your car, sign up for that course, start the exercise program, do what you need to do – we have a whole new blank calendar year ahead of us and things are looking mighty fine.
