A couple of months ago Justine invited us to have a look at their new launches for the year. Of everything I was most impressed with their new Justine Luxe makeup range, so let’s take a look at the Black Tie eyeshadow palette.
Without looking tacky, the palette is a complete over-the-top curved gold creation. I would have liked for it to be a bit more slim and compact but hey, it’s not all about me. The colour selection in the Black Tie palette is a great neutral set with both matte and shimmer finishes. I am very puzzled by the shade in the middle and I honestly only want to use it as a blush and not as an eyeshadow – it’s pretty much my perfect cheek shade.
As with most eyeshadow palettes the applicators are very average and I won’t be using them any time soon (but hey, that’s not news). The shadows have consistently good colour payoff although there is some product fall with the two shimmer shades. They apply smoothly and blend easily though, and I’m happy to add it to my collection. I have a blush and a face powder from the Justine Luxe range too, and I’ll probably depot it into a large multi-palette – it’s just a little too bulky for my storage drawers and makeup bag.
There are two more eyeshadow palettes available an they’re R299 each. Get them from Justine consultants.
And so the Eyeshadowrama comes to an end, this is the last one in the range (for now). If you’d like to look at the other eyeshadows featured, click on the names to see palettes from GOSH, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Lancome and 27Pinkx.
