Old favourites and new discoveries from Moroccanoil

Last week I received a delivery that made me really, really happy – a bag full of turquoise Moroccanoil goodness!

The first thing I spotted was my beloved Moroccanoil Light hair oil. Now if it was possible, I would cover myself in the smell from top to toe and use fabric softener that smells of Moroccanoil and I’d burn Moroccanoil candles (those actually exist, but they’re not yet in SA) – in case you’re slow on the uptake, I really, really like the smell.

For now, the best I can do is use Moroccanoil light on my hair – not only does it smell fantastic, but it makes my hair sleek and smooth too – the ‘light’ version is for fine hair types, and for hair that’s light in colour (the regular version might discolour blonde hair).

The next thing I zoned in on was the Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask. At first glance I mistook it for the Intense Hydrating Mask (review here), but I caught on and immediately tried it out. It’s intended for fine hair that is dry (cue angel songs from women with hair everywhere) and my first impression is that it’s very accurately described. It left my hair soft but not weighed down, and let’s not forget the smell.

Another product in my bag of tricks is the Glimmer Spray. It’s a light finishing oil, and I remember trying it years ago and not being overly impressed. I’m keen to give it another go since and I’ll give you some feedback when I do!

Moroccanoil products are available from salons, and online stores like Retailbox and Everything Hair.
