Mavala mascara review with pictures

What a boring title, but I’m never really interested in a mascara review if I can’t see what it looks like on someone’s lashes – so I thought I’d make that part clear 🙂

Mavala is definitely better known for their gorgeous nail treatments and gorgeous nail polish colours, so I was understandably curious to try out a mascara from them. I’m really thrilled with it as it gives me feathery separated lashes that do not clump (one of my big problems, and one of the few drawbacks that come with having long lashes).

Furthermore this waterproof formula reaaaaally sticks around. I mean, really – it doesn’t go anywhere. We went to the cinema yesterday and watched Catching Fire and I bawled 3 or 4 times during the movie. Fortunately the only sign of that was my slightly red-rimmed eyes when I walked out, and I didn’t have to contend with mascara smudges too. For a lesser-known mascara brand I can’t recommend this enough.

R140, available from DisChem.

PS – Somehow, mascara is one of the things that I get sent in abundance. For every one I write about, there are 2 or 3 that I don’t even bother with because they suck a little (or a lot, sometimes). And my mascara standards are not even very high, which has to make you think a little.
