LUSH Unicorn + other Valentine’s goods

Yesterday I had one of THOSE days – the highlights (!!) were a ridiculously early wakeup call, a flight to Durban and a delayed one back, rental car dramatics and the two most interesting taxi rides I’ve EVER had – all while the man had to have a small operation and spend the day in hospital on this side.

While I was exhausted when I eventually got home around 8PM, the only thing that made me hold onto my sense of humour all day was the thought of sinking into a tub with a LUSH Unicorn bubble bar (the pedicure I had during my delay time may also have helped).

So while the day didn’t quite end off the way I imagined (I fell asleep sans bath with my makeup still on and don’t you dare judge me), I did want to show you the kiffness that is the LUSH Valentine’s bubble bars (surprisingly they’re mostly still in stock, view it online here).

Since I’m a creature of habit, I went for the bubble bars only and I’m thrilled with all three of them.

Heart Throb is a bright red, heart-shaped bubbleroon (it resembles a macaron) that’s put together with gold glitter ‘glue’. It’s soft and buttery in texture, similar to Creamy Candy.

Lonely Heart is a flat, heart-shaped bubble bar that’s COVERED in glitter. Don’t be afraid of the glitter though, it doesn’t really stick to the skin – just give the bath a quick rinse afterwards as it tends to stay behind in the tub.

And then there’s the Unicorn Horn bubble bar. It’s without a doubt the coolest bubble bar I’ve ever seen, and I’m glad I bought doubles of everything (and then some) because I’m considering keeping one and just lovingly staring at it every now and then. If Rainbow Barbie and My Little Pony had a love child, this would be it.

PS – Clearly I’m not 100% recovered from the comedy of errors that was my day yesterday – I just tried to end off this blog post with Kind Regards, which is not unlike the time I tried to change a red traffic light with my security remote. Also, if anything or anyone stands between me and my Unicorn tonight there will be hell to pay *backs away slowly*

O.M.G. I want a unicorn horn! It just seems like the secret to happiness. But I laughed so hard at this post, Chantelle. Remote/traffic light? It happens to the most awesome of us.
