I always find it difficult to write an entire blog post on a mascara. I basically just want to show you a picture of the stuff on my lashes, tell you whether it clumps or crumbles or not and say good bye again.
But L’Oreal False Lash Wings Sculpt mascara deserves a little more than that. For starters, there’s the very weird and wonderful wand. I’ve seen many a mascara wand in my days, but this one takes the cake – it’s equal parts bizarre and brilliant.
The bristles you see above are the only bristles on the entire wand, which means only a quarter of the circumference of the wand is functional. I initially assumed this would be a pain, but it’s satisfyingly precise to work with once you get the hang of it. The actual product feels very smooth and creamy (as opposed to dry/prone to flaking), and it’s perfectly pitch black.
On my already-long lashes this guy seriously boosted length, definition and intensity, and if I had any complaints it would be that I would have enjoyed a little more volume.
The mascara lasts well with no flaking and minimal smudging, and it removes easily enough with my regular face cleansers. I can highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a new mascara to try.

PS – It’s moving week for me so I’m not too sure if I’ll get another post up. I’m definitely getting my blogging groove back so I’ll be back in full swing soon.
