Kiehl’s Musk EDT review

I’ve had a Kiehl’s Musk EDT (or Kiehl’s Original Musk Blend No 1 if you’re a purist) sample for ages now, and a couple of days ago I finally spritzed it on to see what it’s like.

For starter’s, it’s obviously musky. But it’s also a lot more complex that I had anticipated. If we can get the official speak out of the way; aside from musk oil there are notes of Bergamot, Orange Blossom, Lily, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Patchouli, Neroli, Tonka Bean and Patchouli.

The scent is incredibly warm and it’s potent. If you like stronger, slightly heavier scents that stick around this is definitely one to try – give yourself a spritz or ask for a sample at any of the Kiehl’s counters. I haven’t quite decided if it’s something I’ll be able to wear myself, but I definitely do like the scent. It’s an ‘older’ scent in my opinion – something you’d smell on your aunt (only the ones you like) or even your sassy gran. I might be completely wrong and it might work wonderfully on young people too, and I’ll try it on a night out and hear what my unofficial review team (aka a mixed crowd I sometimes hang out in the pub with) has to say about it too.

Available at R515 for 50ml, Kiehl’s counters nationwide.

PS – Kiehl’s Original Musk is a unisex scent.
