I couldn’t be more stoked to try out the Glampalm Pouch – which is, if you haven’t gathered, a heat resistant silicone pouch to store your styling tools in.
The underside of the pouch and flap are super smooth which makes it stick to any reasonably smooth surface. It’s such a great addition to a dressing table and my favourite function (aside from being a nifty caddy for your tools, naturally) is that the part of the pouch that extends onto the flat surface (say your dressing table) doubles up as a heat resistant mat to put your styler down on.
My straightener and curling wand comfortably fit in the Glampalm Pouch alongside each other, and it seems sturdy enough to hold them both for prolonged periods. I didn’t include this in my gift guides (videos here and here) but it’s definitely a gift worth giving. Get them online from Glampalm at R599 each.
Next up there’s the Glampalm Sheet Masks. I honestly didn’t expect all that much from them (especially coming from a hair brand) but they may just be the best sheet masks I’ve ever used. There’s a distinct difference in the quality of the actual sheet fabric when compared to masks from budget brands, which makes them very comfortable to wear – I’m currently sitting upright at my desk with one on my face and it hasn’t slipped or moved even though I just finished a five minute phone conversation to boot. I also like that it fits nice and close to the eyes so you can get the ingredient benefits there too.
Glampalm sheet masks are packed with hydrating and brightening ingredients like hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B and a botanical complex. It’s pretty loaded with ingredients so it feels very gooey when you fish it out of the packet – not my favourite sensation but I could deal with it. I appreciated that there was enough serum left over in the sachet to cover my neck, chest and the back of my hands.
Lastly I was amazed that the serum absorbed so well that the mask started feeling dry in some areas after 15 or so minutes – in my case it was around my upper lip area and on my cheeks towards my nose. I wasn’t all that surprised when I turned the box over to find that the Glampalm Sheet Masks hail from Korea – they are the mask masters, after all. Get them for R280 (3 masks).
Because the folks over at Glampalm are feeling festive and generous, I have a heat resistant silicone pouch and a set of sheet masks to give away to one reader. Entry is via the rafflecopter widget below, is open to SA residents only and ends on Wednesday, 16 December 2015.
As usual only one of the options are mandatory, but I was also feeling generous so there are a boatload of additional entry options that you can complete if you’re feeling frisky. T’s & C’s apply. Best of luck!
