My Most Frequently Used Makeup Products

I love it when I feel than Youtubers/bloggers are actually letting me in. You know what I mean – the feeling you get when you watch someone’s video and you can just imagine sitting there with a friend and poking through their things while you have a fat chat.

One of my best and oldest friends (we’re talking since primary school here) lives in the UK and whenever she comes for a visit I just plonk down on the nearest comfortable surface and unpack (and then repack) her vanity case to see what she has that’s new while we catch up and she gets settled – I should probably mention that we’re don’t-bother-closing-the-bathroom-door-friends, so that isn’t even as weird as it gets.

Anyhoo, that was my goal with this video. I doubt whether I’ll ever be able to get very personal over here (I kinda like my space, so actual day-in-the-life-vlogging will probably never happen) but I can definitely show you some of the things I get up to, including the makeup I’m currently using to death.

My next video is a pretty big haul that includes bits and pieces from all over – I’ll upload it on Sunday (I’m trying for some form of routine here, hopefully the Sunday thing works out). If you want to stay updated with videos, hop over to my Youtube channel and hit subscribe. If you want to receive an email every time there’s a new blog post, you can do that over here.

Let me know if this is something you’d like to see every 3-4 months?

C x

Love this video. Would love it if you could do a video where you show us your skincare routine. I have a few questions but I understand that you’re busy but if you could reply I would love it.
    1. What make-up brushes do you use
    2. Have you used Bioderma products and if you have what’s your take on them

Thank you, keep up the awesome blogs, love the vids.

      Hi Michelle!

Thank you for the compliments. Most of my makeup brushes are Real Techniques, with some Sigma, MAC and Cala in the mix too. You can see my favourite brushes here: http://www.notanotherpoppie.com/five-favourites-makeup-brushes/

I use Bioderma’s cleansing water on lazy days and it does a good job, have used some moisturisers and masks too and they were ok – good if you’re prone to skin reactions. I’ll look at filming a skincare routine but I chop and change products very often!

Great video! You have AMAZING lashes….for some reason I only noticed them today!

I found somebody who is the same as me… I buy lipstick but it just never works. Bought a stunning Rimmel one a few weeks ago, have worn it once and then rubbed it off. I wear my Baby Lips Peach Kiss with every look. lol. When i feel for a change I use the Stila Apricot lip glaze. he he.

Love how simple and fresh your look is.

Thank you Simone! Ja, I mostly just wear lip balm (when I remember).

Hi Chantelle, I loved this video! I really enjoy hearing about your ‘every-day’ products.

I also use the MAC studio sculpt foundation- and I love the fact that you can go from medium to full coverage. I am using cream blushes at the moment and they don’t dry out my already-dry skin. My favourite product by far is Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. We don’t get it here; my sister brings it from the US when she can- amazing!! Changed my life. 😉 PS. I also hate clumpy long lashes. 🙂 xxx

Thanks for yet another great video.

I have a silly question and your feedback will be great. (You are aloud to laugh!)

I bought a Cala make up brush a while ago but im wondering if it removes my moisturiser and sunblock when Im applying my foundation? It just feels like a “sweeping”

    Your comment?
    Thanks xx

Hi Surita! Not silly at all. You need to give your creams a good 10 minutes to absorb and settle first, after that anything that gets moved around is just excess product anyway so it’s no biggie.

Gosh, Chantelle – ek kan my absoluut verkyk aan jou terwyl jy jou makeup doen! Jy is pragtig! Kan jy dalk vir my die kleur van Baby Lips en die Mac “blush” gee?

Ek love you blog en youtube videos – jy is ‘n absolute inspirasie!
