Foundation Feature: Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer

I love clever cosmetics. Multitaskers especially. And housing your foundation and concealer together is very smart indeed.

Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer – the large cap comes off to reveal a smaller cap that seals the foundation bottle, and a flip cap that houses the concealer and a little mirror too!

I have shade 03 light, and it’s about a shade deeper than what I would normally wear. It blends in well and adds warmth, but I’m not a fan of adjusting your skin tone by means of foundation. I think I’m more of an 02 fair girl, though, and I definitely want to test it next time I’m in Woolies or Truworths.

Nevertheless, the cream texture is great – it’s blendable, non-drying, semi-matte, and once it’s ‘settled’, you’ll hardly require a touch-up. There’s also the added value of the brush, which is great if you want to achieve picture-perfect application (and if you have the time; foundation application by hand takes me 1 minute, by brush takes nearly 10 because I end up faffing – just me?). I also kept misjudging the amount I needed – a little of this foundation goes incredibly far.

Stila Stay All Day Foundation Applicator
Stila Stay All Day Foundation Applicator – at first glance I wasn’t wild about it, but with a creamy foundation the alternative is an open jar where your very likely to stick your fingers in. The most hygienic method of use would be to insert a clean cotton bud every time you use it. Second prize is to wash your hands every time before use, and apply the foundation to the back of your hand only.

The part that I’m COMPLETELY in love with is the concealer though – it’s creamy, so it doesn’t cake, but it’s a full coverage concealer that manages to stay in place for hours on end – I absolutely love it.

Stila cosmetics are available from Truworths and Woolworths, and Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer is R395 – well priced for a high quality foundation, concealer and a brush. Available in 16 shades.

Oooh this looks great. Will be sure to check it out in store next time I’m at the V&A. I’m still looking for the penultimate concealer, something that’s better than my current Lancome Effa-cernes, but so far nothing’s managed to beat it.

Ja, I really like it & want to find out if their standalone concealers are the same formula as this one. Haven’t tried the Lancome one, will liberate it from your m/u bag next time I see you xx

I love this! Gotta have it. Not badly priced for a ‘3-in1’ 🙂
