In possibly the best piece or PR ever, the DZCFPWDAG (Derek Zoolander Centre For People Who Don’t Age Good) opens in New York City today – website here.
The state of the art centre will offer a patented 6.5 step Youthification Program, which is aimed at helping people age good. Members of the public who visit the centre will be guided through Derek’s innovative 6.5 step program by hot male models who will help them target their specific ageing needs. The centre is open from 9 – 13 February.
Closer to home and on a somewhat less extravagant note, we’ll have access to two iconic Kiehl’s products in limited edition Derek Zoolander packaging – Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Daily Reviving Concentrate, R755 each.
I’m sure by now you’ve heard of MRC, but the latter is a newish launch from Kiehl’s – I’ve meant to review it for weeks now so I suppose now is as good a time as any. Daily Reviving Concentrate is a very lightweight product that feels fairly similar to a dry oil. Most of the product absorbs within a minute, and it has the most deliciously fresh fragrance.
Daily reviving concentrate contains only plant-derived oils (meaning it’s mineral oil free), and its main aim is to provide free radical protection. Main ingredients are sunflower oil (hydration, strengthens skin barrier function), ginger root (protects again free radicals and other environmental aggressors) and tamanu oil (soothing, replenishing).
Being intended specifically for daytime use means there’s nothing in the formula that will increase sun sensitivity (often an issue where essential oils are included) which is something I’ve been waiting on for ages. I’ve been travelling with mine and I’m happy to report that it works well at night too if you happened to leave your other oils at home.
Both Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Daily Reviving Concentrate are available from Kiehl’s counters, and the limited edition packaging will be available in South Africa from March to coincide with the film release.
