The Chanel Holiday 2015 Makeup Collection is kicking it old school this Christmas – the entire collection was built around Rouge Noir Le Vernis that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. That might be the case but everyone I’ve come across seems more excited for the Le Top Coat Lamé Rouge Noir – a gold-leaf top coat to ‘highlight’ the polish you apply underneath.
The Exclusive Creation in this collection is the Signe Particulier. It reminds me of the very first eyeshadow quad I ever owned (It was Christmas 2012, see the quad together with an inexplicably cynical blog post here) – the shades are similar and it has the beautiful double-c embossing. My favourite product from the collection, however, must be JOUES CONTRASTE LUMIÈRE 12 Coups de Minuit – a beautiful luminous peachy highlighter.
Lastly, I love the simplicity of the lip choices – nude or red and off you go.
The Chanel Holiday 2015 Makeup collection has just launched into stores and is bound to sell out quickly, so better run if there’s something on your shopping list.

In related news, Chanel No 5 and Chanel No 5 Eau Premiére are now available in 35ml bottles just in time for the holiday season. Aside from being a very travel-friendly size I reckon it’s a great way to introduce someone to these fragrances if you’re gifting them, or to get one for yourself if you’re not quite ready to shell out for a 100ml. They’re R1055 each.
