The Body Shop has a whopload of weird and wonderful new launches this month, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the flight while I chat through them.
Honey Bronze Leg Gel, Face Gel & Highlighting Domes
The ever popular Body Shop Honey Bronze range is expanding to make room for a Face Gel, Leg Mist and Highlighting Domes.
The standout difference is that the Face Gel and Leg Mist are both matte, which makes it possible to have an actual natural-looking sunkissed glow – perfect for those among us who like to warm things up a little on the complexion front. Me? I’ve made peace with my pale skin.
The Honey Bronze Highlighting Domes are what immediately tickled my fancy though – as far as I know there are three shades (I’ll confirm if otherwise) of warm-toned creamy, shimmery goodness in these dinky little domes – I can’t wait to start properly playing with them.
In stores 11 May.
Vitamin E Special Edition Skincare Collection
The Body Shop’s super popular Vitamin E skincare line has gotten a royal makeover so you can treat your mom like a queen this Mother’s Day. Am I the only one that’s not on board with ‘mum’? It feels like we’ve always used ‘mom’ and that mum just sounds way too British all of a sudden.
Anyhoo. The repackaged products are Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, R135, Vitamin E Moisture Cream, R135 and Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, R155.
I was very excited to receive the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, but I’m afraid as soon as I opened it I knew I wan’t going to try it out. It’s very heavily fragranced and my skin objects against that kind of thing – I am putting it on my nightstand to use as a hand treatment though. If you have no issues with fragrance it should be a great hydration booster though, and the British flag really is quirky and cool.
In stores already.
Two old favourites have also made their way back onto shelves, as is The Body Shop’s habit from time to time – Cocoa Butter and Pink Grapefruit.
Cocoa Butter, if you’re not familiar, does not smell of coconut but instead has a soft, creamy, slightly nutty scent – I look forward to trying out the shower cream. Pink Grapefruit smells very much like grapefruit indeed, so fans will go crazy for it. It’s a scent I tend to find a bit sharp, but to each their own – if I loved everything, nobody would believe me anyway. Pink Grapefruit is only available in the top 20 Body Shops.
